During an address with the backdrop of the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama, Vice President Kamala Harris took a decisive stance on the ongoing war in Gaza. The Vice President termed what’s occurring in Gaza is a “humanitarian catastrophe” in the region. As the Biden administration continues to posture in support of Israel, the Vice President seems to be separating herself from the office.
The Vice President appeared to make demands were clear: open new border crossings, eliminate unnecessary restrictions on aid delivery, ensure the safety of humanitarian personnel, and restore essential services to facilitate the distribution of aid.
What Harris said was gaslighting at it’s best. She said that Hamas “cannot control Gaza.”
“Hamas cannot control Gaza, and the threat Hamas poses to the people of Israel must be eliminated. Hamas is a brutal terrorist organization that has vowed to repeat October 7th again and again until Israel is annihilated,” Harris said. “Hamas has shown no regard for innocent life, including for the people of Gaza, who have suffered under its rule for almost two decades. And Hamas still holds dozens of hostages, for nearly 150 days now — innocent men and women, including American citizens, who were brutally taken from their homes and from a concert.”
Only to in the same breath call for a “immediate ceasefire.”
“I will repeat: The threat of — Hamas poses to the people of Israel must be eliminated. And given the immense scale of suffering in Gaza, there must be an immediate ceasefire for at least the next six weeks, which is what is currently on the table,” the Vice President claimed. “This will get the hostages out and get a significant amount of aid in. This would allow us to build something more enduring to ensure Israel is more secure and to respect the right of the Palestinian people to dignity, freedom, and self-determination.”
How exactly will a ceasefire get the hostages out? She didn’t say.
One last thing, if the administration is going to conduct a major policy shift, that’s the President’s job not the VP and this just adds to the confusion that is the Biden administration. I would bet the administration is glad that SCOTUS announced the Trump decision when they did if not this would be the top story.

You know, even Clinton was smart enough to handle situations like this.
Take an American infantry unit, put them under UN control so they have to put the blue helmets on, drive in supplies, and then leave.
