Stephen Miller Responds To Musk Claim

Stephen Miller, senior advisor to President Donald Trump, issued a fierce rebuttal Tuesday night to Elon Musk, who has pledged to fund primary challenges against Republican lawmakers supporting Trump’s signature $3.3 trillion legislative package, the “Big Beautiful Bill.”

Musk, who has increasingly positioned himself as a political disruptor, declared on social media that he would spend “whatever it takes” to unseat GOP incumbents who vote for the bill, calling the legislation a “disgusting abomination.” He further threatened to immediately launch his long-teased “America Party” if the bill becomes law.

“If this insane spending bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day,” Musk wrote. “Our country needs an alternative to the Democrat-Republican uniparty so that the people actually have a VOICE.”

In response, Miller dismissed Musk’s comments as out of touch and fundamentally misinformed. He defended the bill as the most conservative reform package in a generation, touting sweeping tax cuts, immigration enforcement, and a historic rollback in federal spending. “This is the most conservative legislation of my lifetime,” Miller wrote on X. “Now is the moment to fulfill the promise on which the fate of civilization itself depends.”

Appearing later on Fox News’s The Ingraham Angle, Miller expanded on his criticism. “This is the largest spending cut in American history,” he told host Laura Ingraham. “The largest tax cut and reform, the largest welfare reform, the most comprehensive border security package ever passed. And yes—it gives us the tools to deport millions of illegal aliens.”

Miller continued: “To oppose this bill is to support the invasion. To oppose this bill is to support the continued giveaways and freebies to cheaters and scam artists. And to oppose this bill is to support a 68% tax hike on the American public.”

He emphasized that the bill includes core pillars of the Trump agenda, including eliminating taxes on Social Security, overtime pay, and tipped wages—provisions aimed at middle-class and working Americans.

“The Senate passed this bill just today,” Miller added. “That shows they are standing with President Trump and fighting for his vision. They are not going to bow to an outside billionaire who does not represent Republican voters.”

The legislation, which passed the Senate earlier in the day, now heads back to the House for procedural approval. House GOP leadership has signaled strong support, dismissing Musk’s threats as political posturing.
