Noem Releases Details About Deportation Operation

The Department of Homeland Security has released disturbing new details about a recent detainment involving an illegal alien described as a cannibal, according to DHS Secretary Kristi Noem. Speaking Tuesday during a roundtable at the newly unveiled “Alligator Alcatraz” detention facility in Florida, Noem and President Donald Trump outlined the ongoing challenges tied to border enforcement and illegal immigration under the new administration.

“This is what happens when we enforce the law again,” Noem said. “We are getting the worst of the worst—murderers, rapists, human traffickers, drug dealers—off our streets and out of our country. Because under Joe Biden, the worst were welcomed in.”

During the roundtable, Noem recounted an alarming case: an illegal immigrant with cannibalistic behavior who, according to her account, attempted to eat his own flesh while being deported by federal marshals. “They had him in his seat on a deportation flight, and he started trying to eat himself,” she said. “They had to remove him and give him emergency medical care.”

Noem did not provide the individual’s name or case number but described him as one of several “deranged individuals” whom immigration officers are actively working to apprehend and deport. “People like this shouldn’t be anywhere near our children, near our families, or walking free in our communities,” she added.

In the same event, Noem addressed growing attacks on ICE and Border Patrol agents. “Since President Trump returned to the White House, violence against ICE agents has surged over 500 percent,” she said. The administration attributes this rise to organized resistance by left-wing activist groups and what Noem called “incendiary misinformation campaigns” promoted by parts of the legacy media.

Specifically called out was CNN, which has come under fire from the Trump administration for allegedly promoting an app called ICEBlock—a digital tool that alerts users to nearby ICE activity. The administration claims the app is enabling obstruction of federal law enforcement efforts. When asked about possible legal action, Noem confirmed the Department of Justice is actively reviewing whether CNN could be prosecuted for “aiding and abetting” illegal activity.

“We’re working with DOJ to determine if we can take legal action,” she said. “What they’re doing, we believe, crosses the line into obstruction—and we won’t sit idly by while our officers are endangered.”

President Trump signaled support during the exchange. “It’s okay with me,” he said, backing Noem’s push for potential prosecution.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt weighed in at Monday’s briefing. While she acknowledged not having seen CNN’s segment directly, she called the situation “unacceptable” and warned that such broadcasts could “incite violence” against ICE agents. “These are officers trying to remove public safety threats, and they deserve respect, not obstruction,” Leavitt said.
