Governor Loses Connection During CNN Interview – WATCH

Well, this was a heck of a coincidence.

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer magically faced technical issues during a remote interview over the weekend when asked a grueling question. The incident occurred on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday when the Michigan governor was asked about Hunter Biden.

Hunter Biden is facing federal charges for three felonies related to a firearm purchase in 2018. Prosecutors allege he lied on a background check and possessed a firearm despite being prohibited due to his addiction to crack cocaine, an issue he has publicly acknowledged.

When CNN’s Dana Bash inquired about the charges against Hunter Biden, Whitmer seemed to lose connection, responding with, “Dana, are you there?” This forced CNN to temporarily end the segment. However, Whitmer rejoined the show later and was asked the same question. Her response was cautious: “You know, I don’t know how to weigh in on that, Dana.”

In contrast, during the initial part of her interview, Whitmer had plenty to say about former President Donald Trump and his recent trial in Manhattan, which resulted in a controversial verdict that many experts believe could be overturned on appeal. Whitmer emphasized, “Under this democracy, no one’s above the law. Everyone is held to account,” referring to Trump’s legal troubles. She described Trump as someone who “flouts the law and cheats and just got caught,” underlining her stance on holding public figures accountable.

The segment was cut short as CNN attempted to figure out what was wrong. Whitmer did return and balked on giving an answer.

“You know, I don’t know how to weigh in on that, Dana,” Whitmer said.

The moment with Whitmer took place during the Sunday political shows.

Another interesting moment took place on CBS with Margaret Brennan who appeared shocked when she learned of a recent report over how Americans feel about deportations.
