Results Come In From Wisconsin Race

Well, Wisconsin just handed the keys to its Supreme Court back to the left, and boy, did they pay dearly for the privilege. Judge Susan Crawford—Planned Parenthood alumna, professional lawsuit filer, and proud opponent of voter ID—won her seat on Tuesday in what now ranks as the most expensive judicial race in American history. That’s right, judicial race. Not presidential, not Senate—a state supreme court seat. More than $90 million was lit on fire to secure her victory, which tells you exactly how high the left is betting on controlling the courts, especially when they can’t win on ideas.

And who was Crawford’s opponent? Brad Schimel, a rock-solid conservative and Trump-endorsed former attorney general with the backing of none other than Elon Musk’s America PAC. But even with Trump’s endorsement and a powerful push from Musk, the left managed to outspend and out-organize in their favorite playgrounds: Milwaukee and Dane counties, where voter turnout magically spikes whenever the Democratic machine needs a victory. And surprise! It worked—Crawford walked away with 55% of the vote, enough to maintain a 4-3 liberal majority on the court.

But don’t worry, not all was lost. Wisconsin voters, in a twist that left MSNBC hosts clutching their pearls, also passed a voter ID amendment to the state constitution. So while liberals were busy congratulating themselves on buying another bench seat, the people of Wisconsin quietly handed Republicans a long-term electoral safeguard. You’ve got to admire the irony—Susan Crawford spent her legal career fighting voter ID, and now she gets to interpret a law the people just enshrined in the constitution. That’s going to be awkward.

Of course, this win wasn’t just about one robe. Democrats made it perfectly clear what’s next: the court is a tool, not a branch of government. With Crawford on the bench, the left is already foaming at the mouth to revisit Wisconsin’s congressional maps. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said the quiet part out loud—Crawford’s victory could “put two more House seats in play for 2026.” Because why win hearts and minds when you can just redraw lines and rig the board?

This is the strategy. Pay whatever it takes, funnel cash through Soros-backed groups and blue-state billionaires like JB Pritzker, and get activist judges installed who will legislate from the bench. Crawford’s own fundraising call literally framed the court as a way to boost Democrats in Congress. “Fair maps,” they call it—translation: maps that favor Democrats. Because when the left says “democracy,” they really mean “one-party control, court-ordered if necessary.”

And let’s not ignore what else is at stake. With this new liberal majority, the court is now poised to swing on abortion, union reforms, and—you guessed it—voter ID laws. The same Susan Crawford who once worked for Planned Parenthood and opposed voter integrity efforts now holds the power to overturn laws she previously tried to dismantle in court. Isn’t that convenient?

Pro-life groups like Women Speak Out PAC are right to sound the alarm. This is more than a political loss—it’s a judicial shift with real human consequences. When activists in robes get to dictate policy, the rule of law is just a suggestion. Elections have consequences, and this one just handed the gavel to a bench that believes its job is to correct voters, not interpret their laws.

So yes, this result should be a wake-up call for conservatives. We can’t coast on last November’s wins and hope common sense wins the day. The left is pouring billions into court races and ballot initiatives because they know they can’t sell their agenda in the open. It’s time to fight smarter, show up every time, and never, ever underestimate what they’ll spend to get their way.

As for Crawford—congrats on the robe. Just remember, you weren’t elected to play legislator. But knowing how the left treats courts these days, that memo probably got lost somewhere between the Soros donation check and the MSNBC appearance.
