Glenn Jacobs Comments On Governor’s Claim

Well, well, well—when leftist bluster meets Republican muscle, things get entertaining real fast. In what might be the most unintentionally hilarious political flex of the year, Minnesota’s own Tim Walz—yes, the same Tim Walz who ducked National Guard deployment but talks like he’s Rambo—decided to puff out his chest and proclaim that he could “kick most of [the GOP’s] ass.” The quote came during an especially rich episode of his new podcast (because of course he has a podcast) featuring fellow California Dreamin’ progressive Gavin Newsom.

Apparently, Walz feels deeply misunderstood. He thinks Republicans mock his tone and posture because they’re secretly terrified of him. Not his policies, mind you—the ones that have crushed small business and green-lit the “Defund the Police” circus—but of him. His masculinity. Bold theory, Governor. Freud would be proud.

Now, it’s one thing to talk tough behind a mic with Gavin Newsom nodding along like he’s auditioning for a Lululemon catalog. It’s another thing entirely when the challenge gets picked up by Glenn Jacobs—a.k.a. Kane, former WWE legend and current Republican mayor of Knox County, Tennessee. This guy’s not just talking the talk; he’s walking into the ring, mask or not.

Jacobs offered Walz a deal: a charity wrestling match. He even pledged a $10,000 donation up front and proposed splitting the proceeds between two organizations of their choice. That’s right, folks—Republicans are now offering to literally fight for charity while the Democrats can’t even figure out which bathroom to use. And Jacobs didn’t even have to script this one. This isn’t Monday Night Raw. This is a grown man, respected elected official, calling the bluff of another man who thought tough talk would go unanswered.

To absolutely no one’s surprise, the responses from the right came in hot and heavy—and hysterical. Dana Loesch offered to ref the match. Doug Collins called dibs on front row seats. Even Rep. Nick Langworthy got in on the action, pledging support but lamenting the thought of his donation potentially going toward, say, a “Minnesota Boys Tampon Fund.” Brutal.

Let’s be honest here: the only thing Walz has ever sprinted from was responsibility. Just ask the people of Minnesota how he handled the 2020 riots in Minneapolis. Or how he deflected accountability while small businesses burned and the National Guard sat on standby. But hey, if Walz says he’s got the moves, then let’s see them. He brought up WWE himself—though it’s doubtful he expected an actual WWE Hall of Famer to take him up on it.

Kane, er, Jacobs, even slipped into his old persona, saying he might have found his “final victim.” And really, how does Walz respond to this without backing down or embarrassing himself further? Hint: he can’t. That’s why Sean Davis of The Federalist already called the ending—Walz will run from this challenge like he ran from military deployment, with a trail of excuses and a copy of The Audacity of Hope clutched in his hands.

And this is why conservatives keep winning the optics game. While progressives are busy filming TikToks about toxic masculinity, Republican leaders are out here offering to lay the smackdown in support of charity. You don’t have to love pro wrestling to recognize political genius when you see it. The GOP has figured out how to mix humor, confidence, and competence in a way that leaves Democrats looking like the guy in gym class who brought a note from his mom.

So, Governor Walz, if you’re still feeling bold, the ring awaits. Don’t worry—we’ll all chip in for the IcyHot and ego repair kit afterward. But if not? Maybe stick to podcasting with Gavin. The only thing at risk there is another round of latte orders getting mixed up.
