One of the great unwritten rules of human society is that when you are a guest, you act like one. You don’t walk into someone else’s home and spit on their floor. You don’t take advantage of their hospitality to mock their values. And you certainly don’t show up in another country only to celebrate the assassination of one of its own citizens.
Yet that’s exactly what some foreign visitors and green-card holders did in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s murder — and the reaction has been swift, and deserved. Reports surfaced of individuals rejoicing in Kirk’s death while living in or visiting the United States.
The sheer arrogance of such behavior is staggering. To dance on the grave of a husband, a father, and a public figure while enjoying the freedoms and opportunities of the very nation he loved is more than hypocrisy — it’s contempt.
America will not host foreigners who celebrate the death of our fellow citizens.
Visa revocations are under way. If you are here on a visa and cheering on the public assassination of a political figure, prepare to be deported. You are not welcome in this country. pic.twitter.com/dQys2OAeK7

And there’s a simple answer to contempt of this kind: deportation. If someone comes here to sneer at America, to revel in the political murder of an American citizen, then they have no business staying here. No country in the world would tolerate it. Imagine the outrage if Americans abroad openly celebrated the killing of a local political figure in Paris, Tokyo, or Nairobi. They’d be shown the door immediately, and rightly so.
Green cards and visas are not blank checks. They come with obligations, with rules, with the expectation that you will not become a threat or a liability to the nation that offered you residency. If those lines are crossed, then there should be no hesitation in revoking those privileges. America is under no obligation to host people who despise it — and certainly not those who approve of its citizens being executed in broad daylight.

This is why leadership matters. In a time when too many shrug off dangerous ideologies or excuse the corrosive influence of Communism and radical activism, the United States is fortunate to have leaders who recognize the stakes. Someone who understands the dangers of imported extremism, who is willing to take action before more havoc is unleashed, is not just prudent — he is essential.
Honestly people, this is 1) common sense, 2) basic decency, and 3) not a big ask. All they have to do is not rejoice in murder. At least not publicly. Don’t film yourself dancing with glee when an innocent man is assassinated, basically.
If they can’t handle that, they really… https://t.co/r8YoJuT1Ho
