Kamala Announces Help For Lebanon

You’ve got to be kidding me. The Vice President’s team actually thought it was a good idea to post this on social media? You’d think they’d know better by now, but hey, with this administration, every day is a new lesson in incompetence. While Hurricane Helene tore through the southern United States, leaving behind more than 40 trillion gallons of rain and taking over 200 lives, the Vice President’s focus is—get this—on humanitarian aid for Lebanon. Because apparently, the struggles of American citizens can wait.

Let’s start with the glaring problem here: the aftermath of Helene. Entire communities in the South are reeling. We’re talking power outages and no water access that could last for weeks, maybe longer. Families are picking through the ruins of their homes, trying to figure out how to rebuild. And in response, Kamala Harris has the nerve to offer $750 checks to people who’ve lost everything. That’s right—750 bucks. As if that would even cover a month’s rent, let alone help people who need to rebuild their entire lives. It’s not just insulting; it’s downright clueless.

Adding fuel to the fire, we’ve got FEMA admitting that they’re strapped for cash. Why? Because they’ve been spending money on illegal immigration rather than preparing for disasters like Helene. That’s right, while American citizens are literally underwater, FEMA’s funds have been diverted elsewhere. And in this moment, with desperate families waiting for a real plan from their leaders, what does Harris do? She announces that $157 million of our tax dollars will be going overseas to Lebanon.

This is the FEMA that the government it praising…

Vice President Kamala posted: “The people of Lebanon are facing an increasingly dire humanitarian situation,” and then went on to detail the $157 million in assistance for food, shelter, and water in Lebanon. Well, the people of the southern United States are facing a pretty dire situation, too, but you wouldn’t know that from her priorities. Harris even highlighted that this latest aid package brings the total U.S. assistance to Lebanon to over $385 million in the last year. That’s a whole lot of money that could be making a real difference for Americans in need right now, but it’s apparently being spent thousands of miles away.

It’s just unbelievably tone-deaf. We’re talking about a major humanitarian crisis right here on American soil—families displaced, communities destroyed, and an entire region trying to recover. Yet Harris’s social media is all about Lebanon. The VP’s focus on international aid at this moment isn’t just a bad look—it’s proof that she’s completely out of touch with the realities on the ground here at home.

And this is supposed to be the person one heartbeat away from the presidency? It’s no wonder the American public is increasingly skeptical of her capabilities. It’s like she’s allergic to addressing the needs of everyday Americans, especially those who don’t align with her politically. And this social media gaffe? It just reinforces what so many people already believe: Kamala Harris doesn’t have the chops to lead and certainly doesn’t understand what real leadership looks like.

But sure, keep focusing on international headlines while your own citizens are left high and dry (literally). If the administration’s goal was to prove how out of touch they are, they’re doing a fantastic job.
