For the fourth time this year, Biden has touted/hinted that he is preparing an executive order to deal with the border.
During an interview with Univision’s Enrique Acevedo Biden said, “Well, it’s suggested that we’re examining whether or not I have that power. I would have that power under the legislation when – when the border has over five, 500,000 people, 25,000 people a day trying to cross the border because you can’t manage it, slow it up. There’s no – there’s no guarantee that I have that power all by myself without legislation. And some have suggested I should just go ahead and try it. And if I get shut down by the court, I get shut down by the court. But we’re trying to work that work through that right now.”
However, a Biden administration official told Fox News that no final decision has been made on an executive order.
“From Day one, the Administration has always evaluated what actions could be taken. There haven’t been any final decisions regarding what additional executive actions, if any, could be taken,” the official said. “As we do in all cases, the Administration explores a series of policy options, that does not mean any particular policy option will ultimately come to pass.”
Immigration is a key issue and Biden has yet to do anything but blame Congress.
NPR recently wrote, “Some key demographic groups are shifting, too. Young voters, Latinos and independents in the survey are either sliding away from Biden or aren’t sold on voting for him.”
Which may explain why Democrat Senator Jon Tester is campaigning against Biden policies and distancing himself from the President. A recent video ad said, “Jon Tester worked with Republicans, fighting to shut down the border…and he fought to stop President Biden from letting migrants stay in America.”
Democrats are campaigning against Biden and touting their support for Remain in Mexico.
