Elon Musk is readying a major cash infusion for Republicans before November. This isn’t just a small donation. According to reports, Musk gave his super PAC permission to allocate $100 million and $120 million toward a new field program. That is a lot of money to knock on doors. The goal is simple: get more people to vote for GOP candidates. Axios was first to report the news about this massive plan.
Musk is not running around holding signs like he did in 2024. He spent over $260 million then to help Trump win. Now, the focus is on a quiet, heavy lift. America PAC will target voters who usually skip midterm elections. They plan to hit at least eight states with door-knocking and direct mail. The New York Times lists Alaska, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, and Ohio as the current targets for this fieldwork. They are also talking about spending in North Carolina and Texas.
This move signals a major shift. Musk and the White House had some public squabbles earlier this year. Back in June 2025, Musk posted online that “@realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files.” He wrote, “Time to drop the really big bomb.” He also told followers to “Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.”
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called that moment “an unfortunate episode from Elon. She remarked that Musk felt “unhappy with the One Big Beautiful Bill because it does not include the policies he wanted” But those words seem to be in the past now. James Blair, President Trump’s senior political adviser, told Axios that the return of America PAC is a “huge boost for Republicans across the country.”
Blair said, “America PAC was an essential partner for our historic GOTV operation in 2024, and their return for 2026 is a huge boost for Republicans across the country. He further noted, “We will again outsmart our opponents and ruthlessly execute our mission for the GOP between now and Election Day” The two sides are clearly working together again.
Andrew Romeo, an America PAC spokesman, informed the Washington Examiner, “The President’s political team and the rest of the GOP apparatus have built a top notch operation that will put Republicans in a strong position to buck history and retain control of Congress this fall, and we’re excited to again be part of the team”
