Whoopi Comments On Trump Policy

Well, it looks like Whoopi Goldberg has finally given up on even pretending to tolerate half the country. In a move straight out of Hillary Clinton’s infamous basket of deplorables playbook, Goldberg openly admitted on The View that she simply can’t talk to Trump supporters. That’s right—rather than engage in anything resembling a discussion, she’d rather just dismiss 74 million Americans as people who don’t matter. Because nothing screams “unity” like refusing to acknowledge the opinions of half the nation.

And, in case anyone missed the level of disdain dripping from her words, let’s not forget that Goldberg still refuses to even say Trump’s name. Instead, she sticks with the man in the White House, or you know who as if referring to Lord Voldemort. Imagine being so consumed by Trump Derangement Syndrome that you won’t even acknowledge reality.

The conversation kicked off when co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin dared to point out something that even the most hardened Trump critics should be able to recognize—Trump is dominating the media landscape in ways Democrats just don’t know how to counter. While Democrats are still stuck playing the game like it’s 1995—parading around on Meet the Press and making grand speeches from the Senate floor—Trump is out there actually connecting with people in the 21st-century media environment. He didn’t just do a Super Bowl interview; he attended the Super Bowl. He understands how to stay relevant and keep his base engaged while Democrats sit around wondering why their old playbook isn’t working anymore.

Ana Navarro, never one to miss an opportunity for dramatic hand-wringing, whined about how the so-called “resistance” against Trump just wasn’t gaining enough traction. She lamented that Democrats are struggling to “reach people” and organize—which is an interesting way of admitting that the whole Orange Man Bad routine just isn’t hitting like it used to. Maybe that’s because most Americans are too busy dealing with inflation, a border crisis, and global instability to spend their time marching around in pink hats, screaming at the sky.

Griffin, to her credit, actually had the nerve to suggest that if Democrats wanted to succeed, they might need to engage with Trump supporters. You know, talk to them. Hear them out. Convince them. But that was just too much for Whoopi. She completely rejected the idea, claiming that it’s hard to talk to people who support Trump because—get this—they don’t think she matters. Which is, of course, absolute nonsense. What she really means is that she can’t handle talking to people who disagree with her, because deep down, she knows she can’t win the argument.

She then dragged Project 2025 into the discussion, saying she found nothing of interest in it and that it “bothered the poo” out of her. (Yes, poo—because apparently, that’s the level of discourse we’re dealing with here.) Now, was there any real discussion about what Project 2025 actually entails? Of course not. Was there any effort to break down its policies and have a genuine debate? Don’t be ridiculous. Instead, she dismissed it as something that only benefits “very specific folks” (translation: conservatives), so it must be bad.

And after all of that, she reluctantly admitted that “we do have to talk to each other.” But let’s be real—that wasn’t a good-faith olive branch. That was Whoopi half-heartedly recognizing that maybe, just maybe, shutting down the conversation entirely might not be the best look. But make no mistake—she has no interest in understanding Trump voters. Like so many others in Hollywood, she’d rather dismiss them, mock them, and pretend that anyone who disagrees with her is some kind of villain.

And that, right there, is why Democrats keep losing ground. They don’t want to understand the people they claim to be fighting for. They don’t want to fix the real issues Americans are facing. They just want to shame, scold, and silence—because, at the end of the day, it’s never been about real discussion. It’s about power. And the more they alienate regular, hardworking Americans, the more that power slips right through their fingers.
