Video Posted By Trump Stirs Debate In The Media

The Washington ritual of shutdown brinksmanship is playing out once again — and as usual, it’s less about policy than it is about theater. With negotiations at the White House breaking down, the nation edges closer to a government shutdown. But instead of hammering out a deal, Democrats have chosen their favorite fallback: whining about Donald Trump.

The president and his team wasted no time zeroing in on Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, mocking their posturing and reminding the country that Democrats’ governing “strategy” consists almost entirely of opposing Trump at every turn. The liberal media reacted on cue, clutching their pearls on CNN and MSNBC, amplifying Jeffries’ indignant rant about Trump’s parody AI video.

That, of course, was the point. Trump baits, Democrats rage, the media amplifies, and suddenly the national conversation is about their meltdown rather than their lack of an agenda. It’s a playbook he’s run for years, and somehow they still fall for it.

Jeffries, dubbed “Temu Obama” by critics, turned himself into the punchline by taking the video so seriously. Instead of countering with solutions, he chose to seethe on cable news, effectively proving Trump’s point. Meanwhile, Schumer’s grandstanding adds nothing to the process except more gridlock.

The reality is simple: Democrats have no agenda beyond opposing Trump. They don’t want to talk about border security. They don’t want to talk about runaway spending. They don’t want to talk about inflation eating away at working families’ paychecks. All they have left is outrage — and Trump is more than happy to supply the match that sets it off.

And as the government teeters on the brink of shutdown, the one thing Americans can count on is this: Trump will keep controlling the narrative, and the left will keep proving they have nothing else to offer.
