Well, here we go again. President Trump is once again doing what the so-called “global leaders” refuse to do—holding corrupt international organizations accountable. This time, he’s taking direct aim at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), an organization that claims to defend human rights while giving a platform to some of the worst violators on the planet. According to POLITICO, Trump is expected to issue an executive order withdrawing the U.S. from the UNHRC and cutting off future funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), the UN’s never-ending slush fund for Palestinian “refugees.”
And honestly, it’s about time. The UNHRC has spent years masquerading as a legitimate human rights body while providing cover for regimes that wouldn’t recognize human rights if they tripped over them. Just look at the lineup: Cuba, China, Eritrea, Qatar—yes, Qatar, where migrant workers literally die building World Cup stadiums under conditions that resemble modern-day slavery. And yet, for some reason, the UNHRC’s favorite target is always Israel.
JUST IN:
Under Trump, the US will be withdrawing from the UN Human Rights Council and stop UNRWA funding!
This is great news. Especially given the fact that UNWRA supports HAMAS with our taxpayer dollars and the UN Human Rights Council demonizes Israel while they glorify…

The factsheet announcing the withdrawal makes it clear: this organization isn’t fulfilling its purpose. Back in 2018, when Trump first pulled the U.S. out of the UNHRC, the council had passed more resolutions condemning Israel than Syria, Iran, and North Korea combined. That’s right—Israel, a democratic country that actually respects human rights, was condemned more than a country that gases its own citizens, a regime that publicly executes dissidents and a dictatorship where starvation is a tool of government control. But sure, let’s pretend the UNHRC is a credible institution.
This is exactly why Trump walked away from the council during his first term and why he’s doing it again. At the time, UN Ambassador Nikki Haley called out the council for propping up the world’s worst human rights abusers while scapegoating nations that actually have clean human rights records. And nothing has changed.
Then there’s UNRWA, another bottomless money pit that masquerades as humanitarian aid. The Biden administration had already paused funding to UNRWA after reports surfaced that some of its staffers participated in the October 7 terrorist attack on Israel. Let that sink in—people on the UN’s payroll were directly involved in the brutal slaughter of Israeli civilians. And yet, this is the same organization that the U.S. has been dumping millions of dollars into for decades. Israel got so fed up, they outright banned UNRWA from operating on their land last month. And for good reason—recently freed hostages from Gaza have confirmed they were held in UNRWA facilities. But sure, let’s keep pretending this organization is some neutral humanitarian agency.
And let’s not forget what UNRWA has been doing in its schools. Instead of providing a legitimate education, they’ve been brainwashing generations of Palestinian children to hate Jews and glorify terrorism. This is an organization that not only fosters radicalism but ensures that Palestinian dependency on foreign aid never ends by granting refugee status to the descendants of refugees. No other group in the world gets that privilege. But when it comes to the Palestinians, the UN wants to keep the cycle of victimhood alive indefinitely.
If all of this wasn’t bad enough, the corruption at the UN runs even deeper. Just last December, the watchdog group UN Watch exposed the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk for completely ignoring the world’s most oppressive regimes. According to their report, Türk condemned the United States more than China, North Korea, Cuba, and Qatar combined. He hasn’t said a word about the human rights violations in places like Mauritania, Lebanon, or Algeria, but he’s had plenty to say about American allies like the UK, Australia, and—surprise, surprise—Israel. The bias isn’t just obvious; it’s embarrassing.
Today’s Executive Order is the correct action by President Trump to deliver America First peace through strength moral leadership. The UN Human Rights Council is a den of human rights abusers and disgraceful and obsessive antisemitism. UNRWA must be defunded and dismantled. U.S.… pic.twitter.com/zEDfnfLgjh

At the end of the day, Trump is making the right call. Why should American taxpayers be forced to bankroll organizations that hate America, side with dictators, and function as little more than propaganda machines for regimes that despise the West? The UN loves to pretend it’s a force for global peace and justice, but in reality, it’s a dysfunctional, corrupt mess that spends more time condemning democracies than holding actual human rights abusers accountable.
This move will, of course, send the usual suspects into a frenzy. The globalists, the foreign policy “experts,” and the same people who told us we needed to stay in the Iran nuclear deal will all scream about how this is reckless, dangerous, and isolationist. But here’s the truth: withdrawing from the UNHRC and cutting off UNRWA’s funding isn’t about isolationism. It’s about refusing to participate in a rigged game where America and its allies are constantly demonized while tyrants get a free pass.
Trump isn’t playing along anymore. And frankly, neither should the rest of us.
