Schiff Issues Comments Following Smith Motion

Adam Schiff is at it again. The former House representative and newly minted Senator from California is having a public meltdown over the Department of Justice’s Special Counsel, Jack Smith, deciding to drop all charges against Donald Trump. Yes, the same Adam Schiff who never met a camera he didn’t like or a conspiracy theory he couldn’t amplify. He took to social media to throw shade at the Biden administration and the judicial system, accusing them of failing to uphold the rule of law. Oh, the irony.

Here’s the backstory: Jack Smith cited two Office of Legal Counsel opinions stating that a sitting president can’t be prosecuted. He’s not dismissing the charges with prejudice, leaving the door open for future legal action once Trump leaves office, but it’s hard to see this as anything other than the end of the road. That hasn’t stopped Schiff from playing the blame game, conveniently omitting his own role in this mess.

Let’s rewind to the January 6th committee—a circus act designed to score political points rather than seek justice. Remember, this was the same committee that refused to share critical evidence and testimonies with the DOJ because it was “protective of its work.” Protective of what, exactly? It wasn’t Congress’s job to prosecute Trump; that power lies with the DOJ. The committee’s real objective was to hog the spotlight, release a flashy report just in time for the 2022 midterms, and bask in the adoration of the media.

The committee’s antics didn’t just waste taxpayer dollars—they delayed the DOJ’s investigation. Hollywood producers were brought in to dramatize the hearings, evidence was destroyed, and half-truths were sold to the public. Meanwhile, the DOJ sat on its hands, waiting for the committee to finish its political theater. By the time Jack Smith was appointed in late 2022, it was too late to build a rock-solid case in time to matter. Trump’s election win in 2024 sealed the deal, and now the Democrats are left holding the bag.

Schiff’s tantrum is rich, considering the situation. Had the committee prioritized the DOJ’s investigation instead of chasing headlines, Democrats might have stood a chance at bringing Trump to trial before the election. Instead, Schiff and his allies overplayed their hand, and now they’re left looking like the incompetent showboaters they’ve always been.

The reality is simple: the legal system worked the way it’s supposed to. No one—especially not Adam Schiff—gets to rewrite the rules just to achieve their political goals. Maybe now he can spend his free time searching for that elusive “evidence” of Russian collusion he’s been promising for years. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t exist.
