It’s drama time on The View, and this week’s plot twist is Ana Navarro taking aim at none other than Nancy Pelosi. Navarro, usually a loyal Democrat cheerleader, seemed pretty fired up over Pelosi’s comments implying that Kamala Harris might have fared better if President Biden had exited the race earlier. Navarro called the former Speaker’s remarks “unproductive, nasty, and unnecessary”—a polite way of saying, “Nancy, you’re not helping!”
So, what’s got Navarro so riled up? Well, Pelosi told The New York Times that if Biden had bowed out earlier, maybe other candidates would have jumped into the race, possibly giving Harris a chance to “take her case to the public sooner.” Pelosi seems to be trying to hedge her bets here, making it clear that she’s not the one to blame for Biden’s late exit or Harris’s lackluster campaign. But to Navarro, it sounded like Pelosi throwing Kamala under the bus to save her own reputation.
“Why, Nancy, why? I find this so unproductive, so nasty, so unnecessary. She wants to make sure people know it wasn’t her. She has no blame in this. ‘I said Biden should have gotten out earlier. I said there shouldn’t have been a primary. Don’t blame me.’ I think it’s really unseemly,” Navarro said.
Navarro wasn’t done there, though. After critiquing Pelosi’s remarks, she pivoted to a topic near and dear to Democratic hearts: Hunter Biden. Yep, Navarro casually suggested that since Biden’s legacy is being dragged through the mud anyway, he might as well “pardon Hunter.” Because, as she put it, “America just pardoned a criminal who was convicted of felonies,” so why not make it a family affair? Apparently, in Navarro’s mind, a little “get out of jail free” card for Hunter would be a nice way for Biden to stick it to his critics on his way out.
And Pelosi isn’t just getting flak from The View. MSNBC’s Symone Sanders Townsend piled on over the weekend, accusing Pelosi of playing a role in Biden’s “very public demise.” Sanders gave a not-so-subtle jab, questioning where Pelosi’s “calculator” was when she allegedly helped orchestrate Biden’s exit. The implication? Pelosi didn’t handle this primary season as skillfully as she did her days in Congress. According to Sanders, Pelosi was the architect of this Democratic implosion, all in the name of clearing a path for Harris.
It’s rich to watch Democrats eating their own here. Pelosi, Navarro, Sanders—each one is trying to distance themselves from the mess that was the 2024 election season, pointing fingers at one another and at Biden himself for everything that went wrong. Pelosi wants the world to know it wasn’t her who failed to clear the path for Harris, Navarro’s upset Pelosi dared to question Harris’s campaign strength, and Sanders is reminding everyone that whatever happened, it’s somehow Pelosi’s fault.

Meanwhile, the real irony is that after all the chaos and finger-pointing, none of it changes the outcome. Republicans have swept the House, Senate, and White House, and as Navarro pointed out, Biden’s going to be in the Oval Office for just a couple more months. They can argue over who’s to blame all they want, but the reality is that voters rejected the Biden-Harris agenda in no uncertain terms.

So here we are, watching Democratic heavyweights play the blame game on national television. But at this point, it’s little more than a sideshow. America has already moved on, and the Democrats’ internal squabbles are nothing but noise. Come January, Republicans will be at the helm, and if this election taught us anything, it’s that Americans have had enough of the drama.
