MAGA Inc. just committed $10 million to support Ken Paxton in the Texas Senate race. This move comes after weeks of urgent calls from Republicans for more financial help. The group plans to fund television and digital ads to fight Democrat James Talarico. This filing with the Federal Election Commission happened on Saturday, per the Washington Examiner.
Republican leaders had been worried about the lack of outside spending in Texas. Talarico has raised $72.0 million while Paxton has only $16.8 million. The gap in ad spending has put immense pressure on the GOP nominee. Paxton himself asked for help in August to compete with Talarico’s television campaign. MAGA Inc. is stepping in to close that financial divide before the election.
President Donald Trump said he was ready to spend heavily to help Republican candidates. During an Oval Office appearance on Friday, he discussed his available funds. He stated he had roughly $1 billion available through MAGA Inc. “I’m going to spend whatever amount of money necessary to try and help us,” Trump said. He noted this money is separate from the Republican National Committee funds.
Trump expects to allocate between $400 million and $500 million for the midterm elections. However, he indicated some cash could be saved for future races. The $10 million for Texas is the group’s first major spend in a 2026 general election. Alex Pfeiffer, a spokesman for MAGA Inc., explained their goal clearly. He said, “MAGA Inc. is going to ensure Texas knows about Talarico’s radical policies and elects Ken Paxton to the U.S. Senate.”
Some Republicans worry the money is coming too late to change the race. Karl Rove, a longtime strategist, voiced this concern to Fox News Radio. He argued that ads need to run now to paint Talarico as a far-left winger. “So, time is running out,” Rove complained to the radio station. He warned that Talarico might run a message about Paxton’s corruption all the way to victory.
Establishment Republicans in Texas and Washington never wanted Paxton as the nominee. He is a scandal-tainted candidate who was once impeached as attorney general. If Paxton loses, some party leaders would have mixed emotions. The Texas Republican ticket is underperforming this year, which makes the Senate race harder. Other Republicans in Alaska, Iowa, and Ohio are also struggling to raise funds.
The choice now is whether to pour money into Texas or save it for other states. Some races in Michigan or New Hampshire might be cheaper to win. But the $10 million injection shows Trump is finally acting on his promises. The spending aims to ensure Paxton defeats the Democrat in November.
