On Tuesday, Vice President JD Vance delivered a masterclass in digital takedowns — mocking the Left for falling for one of the most embarrassingly fake smear attempts in recent memory. The image in question? A laughably AI-generated “photo” circulating online that purports to show Vance in a heated argument with his wife, Usha, at a restaurant. In the image, Vance is seen mid-rant in — of all things — a white undershirt, looking more like an extra from a low-budget soap opera than the sitting Vice President of the United States.
I always wear an undershirt when I go out in public to have a fight loudly with my wife. https://t.co/LUivOsVv2u

Naturally, the photo is fake. Sloppy, too. AI artifacts and anatomical weirdness practically scream, “This is generated.” But that didn’t stop the usual suspects from seizing on it as proof of marital discord — or worse.
The photo, quickly passed around by Democrat-aligned accounts, was clearly intended to push a whisper campaign alleging an affair between Vance and Erika Kirk (yes, that Erika Kirk — the wife of Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk). And yes, believe it or not, this is where we are: The Left is now relying on AI fakes and grocery-store tabloid conspiracy theories to try to discredit a sitting Vice President.

Vance, for his part, handled it exactly as he should — not with outrage, but with ridicule. “I always wear an undershirt when I go out in public to have a fight loudly with my wife,” he posted sarcastically, exposing the entire effort for what it is: a weak, desperate attempt to manufacture scandal where none exists.
Make no mistake…. there are millions of leftists who believe it… these people love being lied to
So, Democrats just keep lying to them..

The absurdity didn’t stop there. Online commentators couldn’t help but point out the AI glitches — warped hands, off-center eyes, bizarre lighting. It didn’t matter. The narrative-hungry corners of the internet lapped it up. And you can be sure people like Joy Reid and her cohort are eager to pretend there’s something more there. After all, if it fits the storyline, who needs reality?

This is the state of opposition research in 2025: AI fakes, rumor-mongering, and a refusal to acknowledge that Vance — smart, unflappable, and grounded — remains one of the Right’s most effective communicators. And the more they attack him with garbage like this, the more it backfires.
The photo wasn’t real. But the desperation? That’s crystal clear.
