According to an eyewitness account, she was visibly shaken as security rushed attendees out of the ballroom. “I just want to go home. I just want to go home,” she reportedly said, repeating the phrase as she was escorted away.
The moment carried added weight given her recent history. Her husband had been killed just over six months earlier at a speaking event in Utah, a detail that hung over her reaction as the situation unfolded Saturday night.
The same eyewitness described a separate scene involving Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. As security moved him out, he was reportedly being physically supported on both sides, his feet dragging as he was guided through the exit.
