DOJ Releases 10 Hour Video Of Detention Center

The Department of Justice and FBI are once again under scrutiny following the release of a surveillance video related to the death of Jeffrey Epstein.

While Axios reported Sunday night that a newly obtained DOJ-FBI memo claims Epstein had no “client list” for blackmail purposes, attention has quickly shifted to the integrity of the video evidence made public the same day.

The DOJ released a 10-hour surveillance video from the hallway outside Epstein’s jail cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, where the disgraced financier was found dead in August 2019. The official cause of death remains suicide, according to federal authorities—a conclusion that has been widely contested across the political spectrum.

However, close analysis of the footage, now available to the public, shows that a full minute—specifically from 11:59:00 to 12:00:00—has been removed or is missing entirely from the recording. The cut, occurring at a critical time leading up to Epstein’s reported death, has triggered immediate backlash and renewed skepticism over the government’s handling of the case.

Jason Sullivan, founder of Unleashed and contributor to The Gateway Pundit, flagged the discrepancy in a video clip that has since circulated widely on social media. The segment clearly shows a gap in the timecode—a direct contradiction to DOJ claims of full transparency.

The missing minute raises serious questions:

  • Was this an error, or was footage deliberately removed?

  • Why does this omission occur in a case already plagued by unexplained failures—non-functioning cameras, sleeping guards, falsified logs?

At a time when the DOJ and FBI are requesting public trust, such omissions further erode confidence. Claims that Epstein acted alone and had no blackmail material are now overshadowed by the appearance of another withheld detail—however small—that could fuel additional speculation.

The DOJ has not offered an explanation for the missing footage.
