Comments On Trump Deal Raise A Lot Of Eyebrows

Keith Edwards, self-described “democracy enjoyer” and YouTuber of uncertain fame, decided to throw his hat into the geopolitical ring this week — and promptly lit it on fire. As President Donald Trump facilitated the release of 20 hostages from Hamas custody — some of whom had been held in Gaza for over two years — Edwards logged on to X (formerly Twitter) and offered up a conspiracy theory so desperate, it would make a tinfoil hat blush.

According to Edwards, President Joe Biden actually brokered the peace deal first, but then — stay with us — Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met at Mar-a-Lago and decided to keep the war going so that Trump could take credit for the eventual ceasefire. “Two months later,” Edwards wrote, “they’re signing the exact deal Biden brokered.”

There’s a word for that: nonsense.

While Edwards flailed online, reality was busy writing its own footnote. As multiple proposed Community Notes quickly pointed out on his post, even Biden’s own envoy, Brett McGurk, admitted that Hamas rejected the administration’s proposed ceasefire. That rejection came not once, but repeatedly, as the Biden White House failed to exert real pressure on the terrorist group or its backers in Tehran.

If Biden had “the exact deal” in hand, Hamas sure had a funny way of showing it — by walking away from the table and continuing to hold innocent civilians in brutal captivity.

Meanwhile, Antony Blinken has been doing his own revisionist history tour, attempting to graft Biden’s name onto the framework that Trump successfully advanced — one that actually resulted in a ceasefire and hostage release. The problem for Team Biden is that even their own social media handlers couldn’t keep the illusion going. Posts from the official White House account acknowledged Trump’s pivotal role in securing the deal.

So while Trump was overseas delivering results, the Left was back home delivering excuses — and Twitter cope sessions like Keith Edwards’.

This isn’t just a bad take. It’s an insult to the intelligence of anyone who’s been paying attention. The Biden administration had years to assert leadership in the Middle East. They had every opportunity to pressure Hamas, support Israel with clarity, and build a multilateral coalition for peace. Instead, they pushed “restraint,” undermined Israeli self-defense, and sat by while the region spiraled.

Trump stepped back into the picture with force and clarity. He didn’t just broker a deal — he secured compliance. The hostages are coming home. The guns have gone silent. That’s called leadership.

So, no, Keith — this isn’t “the exact same deal.” It’s the difference between talking about peace and actually achieving it.
