Comey Sits Down With Psaki For Interview

James Comey, the former FBI director turned cardigan-clad pundit, was supposed to be fading into the background—a man who, after being at the center of one of the most politically explosive chapters in modern American history, would quietly return to private life. Instead, he’s back in the spotlight, back in the spin cycle, and this time, he’s spelling out messages in seashells that ignited national controversy.

Let’s address the elephant in the room. Comey posted a photo of seashells spelling out “86 47.” Anyone familiar with American slang and political numerology knew exactly what that meant: “86” is a well-known euphemism for “eliminate,” and “47” is shorthand for the 47th President of the United States—Donald J. Trump if he wins in 2024.

Claiming ignorance of the meaning is, frankly, laughable. This is not some summer camp counselor or Instagram influencer; this is the former Director of the FBI, the man who oversaw the nation’s top law enforcement and intelligence agency. If anyone should understand the implications of coded language, especially when directed at a political figure, it’s him. And the Secret Service took it seriously enough to bring him in for a chat.

Was it a joke? A signal? An “oops”? In today’s climate, you don’t get to casually post that kind of imagery and then shrug when people ask questions. The stakes are too high, and the context too sharp.

But the real twist? After playing coy with assassination-themed numerology, Comey promptly returned to form: bashing the Trump administration and lamenting the apparent dismantling of the DOJ’s Office of Public Integrity—a division supposedly tasked with ensuring that political investigations are fair and impartial.

This is the same James Comey who, with full knowledge of the provenance of the Steele dossier (Clinton campaign oppo research), allowed it to become the cornerstone of the Russia collusion investigation. This is the same man who testified to Congress, post-firing, that he had orchestrated a leak to push for the appointment of a special counsel. The same Comey who said, regarding the Clinton email scandal, that “no reasonable prosecutor” would pursue charges—even as the evidence screamed gross negligence.

Now, he’s worried about integrity?

Comey’s latest comments came during an MSNBC appearance with—wait for it—Jen Psaki, the former Biden press secretary turned network host. The setting couldn’t be more on-brand for the swamp. There he warned Republicans they’d “be deeply sorry” if they allow the Office of Public Integrity to disappear, because “someday there will be a Democratic president and there’ll be investigations of Republican officeholders.”

Is that a veiled threat? A warning? Or just more of the same partisan doublespeak that has come to define the D.C. establishment?

Regardless, it’s rich coming from a man who helped lead what many Americans now view as the most weaponized political investigation in modern history. He speaks of fairness, yet his legacy is marked by double standards, selective leaks, and bureaucratic sabotage.
