Well, there it is. The Boy Scouts of America—an institution that stood for over a century as a pillar of traditional American values—has now officially erased “Boy” from its name. Welcome to Scouting America, where the priority is no longer building strong young men of character but rather appeasing the ever-growing list of progressive demands.
The name change was made official on Saturday, and according to President and CEO Roger Krone, there was “some backlash.” Of course, there was. Parents who actually wanted their sons to grow up with a sense of discipline, honor, and responsibility have been watching this slow-motion collapse for years. But Krone seemed more focused on celebrating a “small spike” in membership since the rebranding was announced in May. A spike in who, exactly? Girls? Are adults desperate for an all-inclusive social club? Because the organization that once shaped future soldiers, leaders, and statesmen sure isn’t attracting the same crowd anymore.
The unraveling of the Boy Scouts began years ago, and anyone paying attention saw this coming. The first domino fell in 2013 when the organization caved to pressure and allowed openly gay scouts. Then came the lifting of the ban on gay adult leaders. Then, in the name of “inclusion,” girls were welcomed into what had been one of the last remaining spaces dedicated to teaching young men how to be, well, men. And now, after years of bowing to progressive ideology, the name itself has been scrubbed of any reference to boys at all.
UNREAL. Boys Scouts of America is changing their name to “Scouting America” to be more inclusive and welcoming.

Let’s not forget what else has been plaguing this once-respected organization: bankruptcy and the largest child sex abuse scandal in American history. Maybe instead of worrying about gender-neutral branding, they could have focused on preventing thousands of abuse cases over the decades. But no, the real priority, according to the new leadership, is making sure everyone—regardless of gender or belief system—feels “respected and valued.” Because if we’ve learned anything from modern institutions, it’s that “inclusion” is the only virtue that matters, even if it comes at the expense of everything else.
It’s no surprise that religious groups, including the Mormon Church, saw the writing on the wall and got out years ago. Franklin Graham, never one to mince words, made it clear in 2017 that churches should cut ties completely. When an organization abandons the core principles it was founded on, what’s left? A name change isn’t going to save Scouting America. It’s just another sign that the original mission—raising young men to be leaders, to embrace responsibility, to serve their communities—has been diluted beyond recognition.
“Churches should always stand with teachings that align with the Word of God. Two years ago, the Boy Scouts of America voted to allow gay leaders and then this year began to allow members based on their gender identity rather than their biological sex, opening the door to transgender members,” he wrote in a social media post.
“I think the Mormon Church — and all churches — should pull out of the Boy Scouts organization completely. They need to get their younger boys out as well. I would not want my child or grandchild to be influenced by the lifestyle of a gay Scout Leader that goes against God’s design for creation,” he added.
The Boy Scouts of America have gone completely woke and changed their name to “Scouting America” today.
It’s time to find a masculine and patriotic alternative! pic.twitter.com/xMV8X7pFgj

Sure, the leadership will pat themselves on the back for keeping up with the times. But as they chase progressive approval, they’ll continue to hemorrhage the very families who once trusted them to help mold their sons into men. And in the end, that’s the real tragedy—because America doesn’t need another watered-down, identity-obsessed institution. It needs strong men. Too bad the Boy Scouts won’t be producing them anymore.
