BBC Calls France Riots ‘Mostly Peaceful’ While Cities Burn

While broadcasting images of a whole city engulfed in fire, the BBC described the violent French riots as “mostly peaceful”. This is the exact same tactic used by major networks during domestic unrest to tell viewers not to trust their own eyes. The media is bending over backwards to warp the narrative so you do not see the reality of the destruction.

Violent clashes erupted across the nation on Saturday as masked groups fought police, looted businesses, and set fires in several cities. Fox News stated that 1,800 arrests occurred nationwide, with 855 taking place solely in the Paris region. Over 500 firefighters, gendarmes, and police officers sustained injuries throughout these chaotic events.

CBS News made a bold claim in a now-deleted post, describing the violence as “scuffles” between police and small groups of protesters. According to them, these groups were participating in a march connected to nationwide demonstrations against increasing living costs. Townhall’s Larry O’Connor noted they were “fiery, but mostly peaceful scuffles,” which clearly contradicts the images of burning buildings.

The BBC went even further by literally calling these riots “mostly peaceful” in their reporting. Inevitable West posted on X that it was “Unreal” to see the BBC do the thing while showing a city on fire. This mirrors the infamous CNN report that called a violent Black Lives Matter protest “mostly peaceful” despite the destruction.

Emmanuel Macron, the French President, did not mention the riots on social media until hours later on Saturday. According to RedState, he eventually spoke to say “No room for violence in our Republic.” He added that those responsible would be prosecuted and punished, yet he faced fury for his timing.

As the country burned, Brigitte and her husband Macron were seen attending a Celine Dion concert in Nanterre. Reportedly, the couple arrived and departed discreetly, counting among approximately 35,000 spectators at the performance. Critics on X tore into Macron, likening his behavior to Nero fiddling while Rome burned. Some even compared him to Marie Antoinette with the quote “Qu’ils mangent de la brioche…” which means “Let them eat brioche.”

The destruction was not limited to Paris. The historic town hall in Limoges, built in 1883 and designated a historic landmark, was destroyed by fire. The local prefect called it “a catastrophe for heritage” after the roof collapsed onto the lower floors. This building survived the Nazis but did not survive the radical leftists who set it on fire.

A Truth Social post on Sunday saw President Donald Trump blame immigration for the unrest. He wrote that “The immigration of people from an entirely different world, people with hatred in their hearts, has shattered that once great country”. He told France to “Close your borders and take control, before it is too late.”

The facts are clear and the media refuses to report them honestly. You have burned buildings, over 1,800 arrests, and hundreds of injured officers. The only thing the media is protecting is its own preferred story about who is rioting and why. When the news tells you to ignore what you see, you know the truth is already gone.
