Well, well, well, looks like the Biden administration’s FBI is pulling a fast one.
Just when you thought crime was magically “going down,” the folks over at the Justice Department quietly shuffled the numbers, and surprise! Crime is actually up. Funny how that works. President Trump’s been sounding the alarm for months now, warning about skyrocketing violent crime, and of course, Biden and Harris have been quick to deny it. But who gets the last laugh? Trump — and the families of countless victims who’ve had to suffer the consequences of a wide-open southern border and rising crime.
Let’s take a moment to appreciate the irony. The FBI initially claimed that violent crime was down by 2.1% from 2022 through September 2023. The mainstream media had a field day with that, jumping all over Trump’s claims that crime was “through the roof” and calling him out for fearmongering.
But then, as RealClearPolitics revealed, a little “stealth edit” by the FBI switched up the numbers, and now we find out violent crime actually rose by 4.5% during that same period. Oops! Guess the narrative didn’t quite fit, so they hoped we wouldn’t notice.
Democrats have said violent crime is down all cycle. Debate moderators and news networks have repeatedly “fact-checked” Republicans on the issue.
And now, with weeks before the election, the FBI stealth edits its data to show Republicans were right all along.

Of course, Biden’s media allies were quick to parrot the false data. USA Today, for instance, happily declared that violent crime dropped for the third straight year. Well, that aged like milk. But now that the truth is out? Don’t hold your breath waiting for the media to issue corrections or admit they were wrong. It’s almost like they think if they don’t talk about it, it’ll just go away. Meanwhile, the American people are left to wonder: if you can’t trust the FBI to report basic crime statistics, what can you trust?
This isn’t just about numbers on a spreadsheet. These revised stats paint a grim picture. The updated FBI data shows over 80,000 more violent crimes in 2022 than previously reported. That’s 1,699 more murders, 7,780 more rapes, and tens of thousands more robberies and aggravated assaults. And let’s not forget the tragic stories behind these statistics, like the brutal murder of college student Laken Riley in Georgia or the horrific rape and murder of a 12-year-old girl in Texas, allegedly at the hands of recent migrants. Trump’s point about “migrant crime” wasn’t just political theater — it’s backed up by cold, hard facts.

But this isn’t an isolated incident of Biden’s team playing fast and loose with the truth. The U.S. Bureau of Labor has been quietly revising job creation numbers downward for the past year — over 818,000 jobs “disappeared” after the fact. Funny how these corrections only come after the rosy headlines have already run.
At the end of the day, this is about accountability. Biden and his administration seem more interested in protecting their political image than addressing the real problems facing Americans. Crime is up, jobs aren’t being created at the rate they claimed, and the border is a sieve. But don’t expect the mainstream media to ask the tough questions. As long as they can keep spinning the narrative, they’ll be happy to cover for Biden, no matter how many Americans are left to pay the price.
