AOC Comments On SCOTUS Ruling

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is poised to take a bold step against the Supreme Court following its recent ruling in favor of former President Donald Trump regarding presidential immunity. The New York Democrat expressed her outrage on social media, asserting that the court has become “consumed by a corruption crisis beyond its control.” She emphasized that it is now Congress’s responsibility to defend the nation from what she describes as an “authoritarian capture.”

With the House set to reconvene from its recess next Monday, Ocasio-Cortez announced her intention to file articles of impeachment. She believes that today’s ruling, which grants presidents absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for most official acts, is a direct threat to American democracy. Justice Sonia Sotomayor, in her dissent, dramatically suggested that such a ruling could enable presidents to commit extreme acts, such as assassinating political rivals, without fear of prosecution.

To be clear, the SCOTUS ruling didn’t exactly absolve former President Trump. The case was kicked back to the lower court for it to be hashed out.

While it is unclear which justices Ocasio-Cortez will target for impeachment, she has previously called for Justice Clarence Thomas’s impeachment. Her call came after revelations that Thomas failed to disclose luxurious trips funded by Republican billionaires, some of whom had business before the court. This lack of transparency has fueled concerns about potential conflicts of interest within the highest court.

Meanwhile, the reaction from Democrats has been shockingly scary.

It’s pretty apparent these idiots don’t know the difference between a lawful or unlawful order.

Meanwhile, I’m sort of with Glenn Beck, the Trump decision is great and all but can we talk about who’s actually in charge?
