WATCH: New DeSantis Ad Mirroring Top Gun Aired And It Went After ‘Corporate Media’

This past Monday, Ron DeSantis, the Republican Governor of Florida, put out a brand new campaign ad that seems to be a nod to the new “Top Gun: Maverick” movie.

This new ad, which was first put out by first lady Casey DeSantis, highlighted DeSantis speaking about taking on corporate media and promising to fight during exchanges that he has with various reporters while serving as the governor of the state.

“Good morning ladies and gentlemen, this is your Governor speaking,” stated DeSantis to kick off the ad. “Today’s training evolution: dogfighting. Taking on the corporate media.”

“The rules of engagement are as follows: Number one, don’t fire unless fired upon, but when they fire, you fire back with overwhelming force,” DeSantis went on in the ad.

“Does it say that in the bill?” shot back DeSantis at one of the reporters. “I’m asking you to tell me what’s in the bill.”

“Number two, never ever back down from a fight,” DeSantis went on in the ad.

The ad then cuts back to the reporter stuttering, “If I could just complete the question though –.”

“So are you going to give a speech or ask the question?” chimes in DeSantis.

DeSantis then continues the ad, claiming, “Number three, don’t accept their narrative.”

“Wrong. It’s a fake narrative,” DeSantis called out another reporter. “I just disabused you of the narrative and you don’t care about the facts.”

DeSantis slams another reporter, “It’s why people don’t trust people like you, because you peddle false narratives.”

The ad ends off with DeSantis sitting in the pilot’s seat within the cockpit of a fighter jet with his son sitting in his lap, who speaks up to say, “Let’s turn and burn!”
