Congressman Lloyd Doggett Releases Statement

As I was pursuing the interwebs, I came across an interesting article quoting former Obama Czar and CNN commentator Van Jones.

Recently, during a segment on CNN, Van Jones attacked pundits calling Democrats who criticize Joe “bedwetters.”

“I’ll tell you this: people are talking about bedwetters,” Van Jones said, quoting a biting phrase first used by Deputy Campaign Manager Rob Flaherty in a message to supporters. “I’m sitting here where I’m in Pampers, Huggies, and Depends, okay,” Jones went on to joke.

“Call me a bedwetter.”

The political commentator then shifted to a more serious tone, speaking remotely from Los Angeles just minutes before Biden addressed the nation.

“I’m scared. I’m worried. I’m nervous,” he admitted. “And a lot of people are.

“Everybody has the party line,” former Obama Czar added. “But behind closed doors, what people are worrying about is what the polls are going to show in the battleground states a week from now.”

He then challenged Joe to do an unscripted interview.

That got me thinking, Van Jones and party man through and through is firing howitzers at Biden; why?

Then we got a leak published in Redstate that blew it open, and it appears there are two camps: Team Obama and Team Joe (possibly with some Clintonites mixed in).

According to a report from Tucker Carlson in private Obama supports an open convention, doesn’t think Joe can win, and as of late Jill has made the relationship between the families hostile.

Tucker wrote:

From an unusually good source: Obama’s tweet supporting Joe Biden was disingenuous. In private, Obama is telling people Biden can’t win, and he is therefore in favor of an open convention. Obama will not say whom he supports, nor as of yesterday afternoon had he met personally with Biden to deliver the message. Relations between the Obamas and the Bidens have never been warm. At times they’ve been hostile. But recently they’ve deteriorated further, mostly due to Jill Biden. In the hours and days after the debate, she kept her husband cloistered away from anyone who might convince him to drop out. Jill Biden is the driving force behind her husband’s reelection campaign, just as she was in 2020, when other members of the family (including Biden’s sister Val) considered him too impaired to run. The next generation of potential Democratic candidates understands all this as an opportunity and they’re circling, particularly Gretchen Whitmer, who is promoting herself aggressively.

This may explain the flat-out drumbeat on CNN even coming out with a poll that it will be a landslide victory if Joe stays in the race.

Couple that with Jake Tapper leaking about a DNC governors meeting that basically said they have no confidence in Biden.

It appears that those on high gave their blessing.

But don’t look now Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-Texas) is calling on Joe to withdraw from the race.
