Sen. Cruz Pushes FBI To Carry Out Search For Classified Documents In New Location

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) has officially pushed for the Federal Bureau of Investigation to kick off a full-scale search of the home and office of Hunter Biden for any kind of classified document in the wake of a number of reports about a long email exchange involving the president’s son in 2014.

Cruz sounded the call due to a massive 1,300-word email that discussed destabilization in Ukraine which was found on Biden’s abandoned laptop and was addressed to Devon Archer, his former business partner from Burisma energy company, who ended up being sentenced in 2022 to just over a year in prison after being found guilty of committing a fraud scheme.

GOP legislators started to bring up questions about whether the first son had illegal access to highly classified documents after groups of officials discovered a massive cache of classified documents hidden within President Joe Biden’s home in Delaware and a Washington, D.C. office.

“It seems he leaves classified documents wherever he goes,” explained Cruz to the Fox News host of “Sunday Morning Features,” Maria Bartiromo, before adding that Hunter Biden had at that time declared the Delaware house as his legal residence.

Cruz stood alongside Bartiromo after new bits of information came to light about a chunk of documents that were allegedly donated by President Biden to his Alma mater at the University of Delaware. The host from FOx News reported that legal groups representing the parties are trying to get the documents which include 1,850 boxes and 415 gigabytes of electronic records — a sum that would fill up two tractor-trailer trucks.

“I believe the natural next step that is necessary is for the FBI to examine the 1,850-plus boxes of documents from Joe Biden’s Senate tenure that’s at the University of Delaware,” stated Cruz. “And I also believe it is critical for the FBI to search Hunter Biden’s home and office residences to make sure there are no classified documents there — given all the evidence that’s piling up.”

“We need to ascertain who’s had access to what and when,” he went on.

The possible contents of such classified papers found stashed inside of Biden’s home still sits unknown. However, the senator has claimed that these classified documents range from “general geopolitical observations” to others that involve sources and methods of getting secret info that could end up hurting covert operative lives.

Cruz claimed that legislators would know whether or not these classified documents that Biden had “illegally” stashed across a number of locations show “family business activities and potential corruption.”

“Whether they involve Burisma and Ukraine, whether they involve Communist China and the entities that were paying the Biden family millions of dollars,” explained Cruz. “If he, in fact, had classified documents that implicate his own financial well-being, that raises the potential of very serious criminal liability.”
