Sarah Sanders Speaks Showing Sharp Contrast With Dems In Response To SOTU

Sarah Sanders, the governor of Arkansas, issued a response to President Joe Biden this past Tuesday evening, drawing a very sharp contrast between the Republican Party’s vision for the country and Democrat’s agenda.

Sanders offers up a Republican response to Biden’s recent State of the Union speech in front of a joint session of Congress this past Tuesday. 40-year-old Sanders is currently the youngest person to hold a Governor’s seat in the United States and has previously served within the Trump administration as White House press secretary.

As part of a 15-minute speech coming right after Biden’s address, which ended up lasting about 70 minutes, Sanders contrasted the agenda of Republicans with that of the President. She leaned into what she labeled as a “left-wing culture war” and denounced Biden and Democrats for ending up “highjacked by the radical Left.” The governor of Arkansas framed the differences between the two parties as those between normalcy and radicalism.

“I’ll be the first to admit: President Biden and I don’t have a lot in common. I’m for freedom, he’s for government control. At 40, I’m the youngest governor in the country, and at 80, he’s the oldest president in American history,” stated Sanders. “I’m the first woman to lead my state, and he’s the first man to surrender his presidency to a woke mob who can’t even tell you what a woman is.”

“In the radical Left’s America, Washington taxes you and lights your hard-earned money on fire. But you get crushed with high gas prices, empty grocery shelves, and our children are taught to hate one another on account of their race, but not to love one another or our great country,” she went on. “The dividing line in America is no longer between Right or Left. The choice is between normal and crazy.”

Sanders went on to brag about her own time as governor, despite only securing the office just under a month ago. The Republican governor mentioned her strides to fight Critical Race Theory in education, issued a ban on the word “Latinx” in the state government, and took action against draconian COVID lockdown measures and other regulations.

While she and other Republicans have been pushing an agenda for freedom, she claimed that Democrats are just “doubling down on the crazy.” She called out Biden for squandering a ready-made economic recovery coming out of COVID lockdowns, upending a stable global order, and destroying border security.

Near the end of her speech, Sanders spoke up about a holiday trip she took as White House press secretary under former President Trump. Back on Christmas Day in 2018, she boarded Air Force One alongside the president and went out of Iraq. As the president and his team went into one dining hall hosting hundreds of troops, the soldiers started to shout “USA!” in what Sanders labeled “an absolutely perfect picture of what makes our country great.”

All throughout the store, Sanders never once mentioned Trump by name, only making reference to him as “president.”

“America is great because we are free, but today our freedom is under attack and the America we love is in danger. President Biden and the Democrats have failed you, and it’s time for a change,” she stated.

“A new generation of Republican leaders are stepping up, not to be caretakers of the status quo, but to be change-makers for the American people,” she concluded.
