Joe Rogan went off—again—this time taking aim at none other than The New York Times for one of its most absurd headlines yet. You can almost hear the collective eye roll across America as the Times ran a headline that basically questions the U.S. Constitution’s place in modern society. The headline read, “The Constitution Is Sacred. Is It Also Dangerous?”—yeah, you read that right. And Rogan, in classic form, obliterated the sheer insanity of it on his podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience.”
Rogan wasted no time ripping into the idea that the founding document of this country—the very thing that gives us our freedoms—is now being portrayed as some kind of lurking danger. He could hardly believe what he was reading, and honestly, who could blame him? “This isn’t the Babylon Bee,” Rogan scoffed, referencing the well-known satire site. Nope, this wasn’t satire—this was the New York Times in all its out-of-touch glory.
The Constitution Is Sacred. Is it also Dangerous?
One of the biggest threats to American politics might be the country’s founding document.

Rogan called out the ridiculousness, “This is so crazy. It’s really hard to believe that someone would print this and the New York Times would say ‘yeah we like it, put it out there,’” he added, reading the headline and subhead. “What the f*** are you talking about?”
Let’s be real here. The idea that the Constitution, the backbone of American democracy and individual freedoms, is somehow a “threat” is peak gaslighting. Rogan wasn’t having it. “One of the greatest documents that any country was ever founded on, if not the greatest ever,” Rogan said, sarcastically wondering how in the world this could possibly be a threat to America’s politics. What kind of politics are we talking about here? Oh, right—the kind that thrives on authoritarianism, censorship, and silencing any dissent that doesn’t align with the leftist narrative.
Dr. Bret Weinstein, Rogan’s guest on the episode, didn’t hold back either. He pointed out how predictable it is that the Times would push something like this. Why? Because certain folks on the Left lose sleep over the fact that the Constitution, with all its pesky amendments like free speech and gun rights, actually limits what they can get away with.
Weinstein hit the nail on the head when he said it was “completely predictable” because “there’s obviously an authoritarian force there that just grinds its teeth at night over the Constitution and the fact that it prevents it from doing things that it just wants to do.”
“So, of course they’re, like, scratching their heads like, ‘can we come up with an argument for why it might be time to get rid of that thing?’ And of course, if you’re a normal thinking person, this is complete insanity,” he continued. “But if you’re a New York Times reader, I’m sure that fits with the kind of ethos that’s been cultivated.”
And let’s be honest: If you’re a regular New York Times reader, this kind of drivel probably seems perfectly reasonable. To them, questioning the very foundation of America’s freedoms fits right in with the whole “progressive” ethos. But to the rest of us—people who actually think—it’s pure insanity. Only in this backward version of reality does the Constitution, which has safeguarded our freedoms for centuries, suddenly become “dangerous.”
Rogan, in his no-nonsense way, also hit on why Trump drives the Left absolutely mad. They need a boogeyman, someone they can point to and claim is an “imminent threat” to democracy. That way, they can justify wild headlines like this one, suggesting that the Constitution itself is the problem. It’s not just about Trump—it’s about paving the way to undermine key protections like the First and Second Amendments, all in the name of “safety” or “progress.”
The truth is, the Left can’t stand the Constitution because it gets in the way of their agenda. And as Rogan and Weinstein so brilliantly pointed out, we’re living in a time where even The New York Times is trying to convince us that the very thing keeping America from slipping into total chaos is somehow the enemy. Insanity.
