Profile Piece Examines Congresswoman’s Thoughts On Rallies

Oh, now this is the kind of political theater you can’t buy — the left eating its own, and doing it in spectacular fashion.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) — yes, that Jasmine Crockett, famous for viral clips and shouting matches in committee hearings — just gave The Atlantic an interview that managed to do two things at once: make her look cringey and throw gasoline on some intra-party fires.

The piece itself was brutal, letting readers see what her colleagues probably already know: Crockett believes her massive social media following should entitle her to leadership roles. She even reportedly complained that she should’ve been the ranking member on the House Oversight Committee because of her online clout. (Newsflash: Twitter followers don’t equal legislative competence.)

But the real gem? Crockett apparently used a meeting with Rep. Maxine Dexter (D-OR) to trash none other than Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders. According to The Atlantic, Dexter asked Crockett whether she’d clash with party leadership the way AOC did with Nancy Pelosi back in the day. Crockett assured her she’s a “team player” — but then couldn’t resist unloading on her fellow progressives.

She called the Sanders/AOC “Fighting Oligarchy” rallies a good idea in theory but said they really just “make people be like, Oh, it’s about them, right? Instead of the team.” Translation: they’re in it for themselves. Ouch.

And the irony here? Those rallies — the ones supposedly about fighting big money — brought in some big money. AOC raised $9.6 million in Q1. Bernie? A cool $11.5 million. So Crockett’s not wrong about the self-serving optics. But it’s rich coming from someone who has built her whole brand on turning hearings into personal viral moments.

This probably won’t sit well with the progressive base. AOC and Bernie are still darlings of the hard left, and Crockett just swerved into their lane and started throwing elbows. It’s almost like she sees herself as a competitor for higher office.

So now we’ve got Crockett vs. AOC vs. Bernie, all while the Democrats’ approval rating hovers in the basement at 19%. Infighting? Check. Public humiliation? Check. A party already in chaos starting to eat its own? Absolutely.
