More CNN Scandal, Ex-Boss Hand Holding With Married Anchor

Ex-CNN CEO Jeff Zucker and current Director of Communications, Allison Gollust, appeared to be an item, leaving many fans wondering what had become of their relationship. But now, the pair are at the center of another potential love triangle – this time with CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota.

The two were caught holding hands at a book party thrown by Don Lemon for View host, Sunny Hostin. The party was notably attended by CNN and MSNBC personalities, including Joy Behar. Reports from insiders say that Gollust left the party shortly after the alleged “handholding incident” and that, somewhat suspiciously, Zucker and Camerota returned “forty minutes later before leaving in separate cars.”

Adding fuel to the speculation of the supposed relationship is Zucker’s risque joke about Camerota from last year’s Mirror Awards. “I was gonna say that I love waking up with you every morning, but I want to say that I love waking up to you every morning,” said Zucker during his speech at the Mirror Awards in New York – which Camerota hosted.

A source close to the supposed couple attempted to downplay any romantic ties by saying that they had been “going to meet Allison for coffee.”

CNN has apparently refused to comment on the situation, furthering the speculation of a cover-up.

The already tumultuous tenure of Jeff Zucker at the network has yet again been thrown into chaos with this new development. Chris Cuomo had recently called into question Zucker’s relationship with Gollust, asking for the preservation of all communications between them, while also trying to get the $18 million left on his contract.

The relationship between Zucker and Gollust is assumed to have started during the COVID-19 pandemic, but many have contradicted the statement saying it had been an “open secret” for an extended period of time.

Camerota is the host of “CNN Tonight” and is married to Tim Lewis, a partner in a private equity firm with whom she has three children.

This possible love triangle only furthers the downward spiral of what has become of the once-trusted news network. CNN, now out of the hands of Zucker, needs to work to restore faith from its long list of viewers, many of whom were beginning to question why Zucker was given the boot and why so many former CNN personalities are speaking out against the network.

Perhaps an official statement from CNN about the status of the relationship or a statement from Zucker is in order. Until then, the speculation and the drama surrounding the situation will only increase.
