Maddow Breaks Down On Air Because Of Trump

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow is once again making headlines for her bizarre and baseless claims, this time suggesting that former President Donald Trump will put the network on trial and “execute” its anchors if he is elected in 2024.

Maddow made the outlandish statement during an appearance on ABC’s “The View,” where she responded to co-host Sara Haines’ assertion that Trump “wants to cancel the news.” Maddow then added that Trump “wants to put MSNBC on trial for treason so that he can execute us.”

This is not the first time Trump has called for an investigation into NBC News and its parent company, Comcast. In a recent post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump accused the network of “Country Threatening Treason” and said it should be thoroughly scrutinized for its “dishonest and corrupt” coverage of his presidency.

The former president also called the media in general “the enemy of the people” for their biased and negative coverage of his administration. Trump’s attacks on the mainstream media have been a common theme throughout his presidency, with the former president frequently accusing them of spreading fake news to undermine his administration.

Trump’s remarks about NBC News and Comcast come after an appearance on “Meet the Press” with host Kristen Welker, where he continued to push the narrative of a rigged election and how the democratic process cannot be trusted.

Maddow, who became the face of the two-year investigation into the debunked Russian collusion narrative, spent a significant amount of time dedicated to pushing the narrative on her show. Despite evidence proving otherwise, Maddow repeatedly claimed that Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election, leading to millions of viewers tuning in to her daily show.

However, as time went on and the investigation revealed no evidence of collusion, Maddow’s ratings began to decline, and her credibility came into question. Still, she continued to push the narrative, even accusing Christopher Steele, the author of the infamous Steele Dossier, of having inside information from Russian sources.

Maddow’s latest claims about Trump’s alleged plans to “execute” MSNBC’s anchors if re-elected in 2024 have been met with criticism and disbelief. Many have called out the host for spreading fear and division, while others have pointed out the irony of her statement, given her past involvement in promoting a narrative that was ultimately proven to be baseless.

In the end, it remains to be seen if Trump will actually carry out his threats to investigate and potentially prosecute NBC News and its parent company. However, one thing is for certain – Maddow’s fear-mongering and blatant attempts to divide the country continue to have consequences, and her credibility as a journalist continues to be called into question.
