There are bad political weeks, and then there are Jasmine Crockett weeks—and the Texas congresswoman just had one for the books. After Governor Greg Abbott signed the new Texas redistricting map into law, it seems the political winds have shifted dramatically. And the one-term firebrand from Dallas is now staring down a very real possibility: unemployment.
Suddenly, Rep. Crockett—known more for her viral social media spats than for actual legislative accomplishments—is facing a harsh new reality. In short? The gravy train may be reaching its final stop. And she’s not taking it well.
MAGA loves my page… I’m curious… who will y’all follow once Trump is outta office?
HE WILL BE OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE when this disastrous second term ends. All Constitution loving American Citizens know that he doesn’t get another term. (The 22nd Amendment makes this…

It’s not hard to see why. Washington, D.C. has been good to her—too good. She’s been drawing a hefty taxpayer-funded paycheck for doing what amounts to political performance art. Whether it’s yelling over witnesses in committee hearings, making late-night cable news rounds, or firing off Trump-centric rage posts online, Crockett has built her brand on outrage and identity politics, not on policy or governance.
But redistricting is about numbers, not hashtags. And the new map might not be kind to a representative whose national profile has always outpaced her local appeal. The days of being insulated in a heavily gerrymandered blue bubble could be numbered, and Crockett’s reaction has been… let’s just say, less than statesmanlike.
Jasmine Crockett tells a crowd in Martha’s Vineyard that “once the Democrats get control,” they must “get bold” by expanding the Supreme Court, passing “ethics” reform, and eliminating the filibuster.

Instead of digging into the issues that matter to the new constituents she may need to win over—like crime, the border crisis, education, or economic growth—Crockett has turned to what she knows best: social media tantrums. Her latest masterpiece includes the claim that President Trump can’t run again because the 22nd Amendment says so—a baffling statement that ignores the basic fact that Trump has served only one term. But logic and law aren’t her strong suits. After all, this is the same self-declared “Constitution-loving American” who has campaigned in favor of open borders, radical abortion policies, and gun control measures that would send James Madison spinning in his grave.
The backlash online was instant and, frankly, brutal. X (formerly Twitter) users offered their sympathy… and a few career suggestions. Some proposed she try food service—after all, it’s honest work and, thanks to Trump’s tax policy, tips would be tax-free. Others floated a stint at Cracker Barrel—tongue in cheek, of course—but hey, the restaurants are getting remodeled. A fresh start?
On the Month anniversary of Uvalde the US Supreme Court expands access to guns in this country & well we are bracing for them to minimize access to reproductive care. When I get to Congress, I will be fighting to EXPAND the court! I’m tired.

Sure, some of this is mean-spirited. But it underscores a real point: the voters in her district may be ready for someone who prioritizes real-world problems over partisan theatrics. If Crockett wants to keep her seat, the path is simple: connect with her new district, develop coherent policy ideas, and actually campaign on substance. But based on recent behavior, that’s not the direction she’s headed.
Instead, she’s doubling down on the one trick that got her to D.C. in the first place: performative outrage, usually aimed at Donald Trump. The problem? The script is getting old. Even CNN can only host the same anti-Trump panel so many times before the ratings fall off a cliff.
The SCOTUS has given the thumbs up to unfettered access to guns in the name of the Constitution all while completely stripping away abortion access. Sounds about right in 1952, I mean 2022! #RoeVWade
