The newest revelations surrounding the allegations of a criminal bribery scheme between then-Vice President Joe Biden and a foreign national have opened up a can of worms.
On Thursday, Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) released the full FD-1023 form generated by the FBI which provides the most information to date regarding the case. According to the document, a trusted confidential human source (CHS) met with Burisma executives in Kyiv, Ukraine in 2015/2016 to discuss the company’s interest in purchasing a US-based oil and gas business for an IPO in the US. It was during this meeting that Burisma’s CFO Vadim Pojarskii stated that Hunter Biden was hired to “protect us, through his dad, from all kinds of problems.”
CHS subsequently traveled to Vienna, Austria to meet with Burisma’s CEO Mykola Zlochevsky. During this meeting, Zlochevsky made the comment, “Don’t worry Hunter will take care of all of those issues through his dad.” Later, CHS was made aware that Zlochevsky allegedly made a payment of $5 million to each Biden “to deal with Shokin.”
Later in 2019 during a telephone call with Ostapenko and Zlochevsky, the latter asked CHS if they read the recent news reports about the Biden investigations and jokingly asked CHS if they were an “oracle”. It was during this call that CHS asked how many companies/bank accounts Zlochevsky controlled to which Zlochevsky responded “It would take them (investigators) 10 years to find (his records).”

On June 29, 2020, CHS provided supplemental reporting which specified that according to Zlochevsky, there were 17 recordings involving the Bidens, two of which included Joe Biden and 15 that only included Hunter Biden. On top of this, Zlochevsky claimed to have documentation that would show suspiciously timed payments to the Bidens supposedly in exchange for Shokin’s firing.
These recent revelations seem to be significant and paint a more clear picture of the case against then-Vice President Joe Biden. Ostapenko currently works in an office for the administration of Ukrainian President Zelensky, while CHS is a trusted source with a long-standing relationship with Burisma and the individuals involved. This news is certain to stir up further debate as it finally gives the American people the full picture of what occurred.
