It should come as no surprise to anyone paying attention that Democrats are once again resorting to their usual trifecta of political theater—grandstanding, gaslighting, and outright temper tantrums—ahead of President Donald Trump’s joint address to Congress. If there’s one thing the modern Democratic Party can be counted on for, it’s making fools of themselves in the most predictable ways possible.
Some Democrats simply didn’t attend the speech—because apparently, the best way to prove you’re serious about governing is to refuse to show up and do your job. But for those who were there, the plan wasn’t to engage in any kind of substantive debate. Instead, they schemed up various childish disruptions, which may include bringing signs, eggs (yes, actual eggs), empty egg cartons, and—because they really want to drive home just how unserious they are—hand clappers. Nothing says “We are the responsible adults in the room” quite like turning the House chamber into a kindergarten classroom.
But the real gift that keeps on giving is the Democrats’ absolute inability to execute even the most basic messaging strategy without turning themselves into a walking punchline. In a development that would be hilarious if it weren’t so embarrassing, several clips circulating online show that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, along with Senators Cory Booker, Elizabeth Warren, Tim Kaine, and Mark Kelly, all read from the exact same script in their anti-Trump videos. And when we say exact same script, we mean down to the punctuation, phrasing, and—because they apparently couldn’t even add a touch of originality—the same choreographed sit-down move in four of the videos.
OH. MY. GOSH!
They gave Chuck Schumer and Elizabeth Warren the *EXACT* same script. Was this a mistake?
Both of them fired off the EXACT same video on their social media today ahead of Trump’s speech.

It’s the kind of thing that makes you wonder: Are they even trying anymore? It’s bad enough that their attacks on Trump are the usual mix of baseless hysteria and economic revisionism, but did they really think no one would notice that they were reading off the same teleprompter? And not just a couple of them, 22 DEMS posted the same script! Talk radio host Vince Coglianese even joked that the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) cuts might have something to do with Democrats being “forced” to use the same script.
The hive mind at work:

And just when you thought their messaging failures couldn’t get any worse, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries decided to add his own contribution—a painfully awkward video of himself standing all alone, dramatically proclaiming that “millions” of voters are with the Democrats in standing against Trump. Nothing says strength in numbers like filming yourself in an empty room.
At this point, it’s worth asking why Democrats are so bad at this. But the answer is obvious: when your entire political identity revolves around not being Trump, you don’t actually have a real platform, a real message, or even a shred of authenticity. Trump Derangement Syndrome has rendered them incapable of crafting an original thought, let alone a coherent political strategy.
So as they threw their latest tantrum on the House floor, the rest of America was watching—not with admiration, but with secondhand embarrassment. Because nothing says we deserve to lead the country like staged walkouts, synchronized scripts, and juvenile protest props. Keep it up, Democrats. At this rate, midterms will be a bloodbath.
