Docs Scandal Investigators Set Sights On Biden Aide Over Link To Hunter

A longstanding aide to President Joe Biden that has ties to his son Hunter is currently being put under the microscope of the Justice Department and Congressional investigators as a part of their inquiries into the handling of highly classified materials.

Now working as an official with the Pentagon, Kathy Chung has now become a primary individual as she oversaw the transport of documents to the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C., after Biden departed from his role as the vice president back at the start of 2017. Multiple reports have stated that Chung has already gone through an investigative interview carried out by federal officials as part of the probe by the Justice Department. The House Oversight Committee issued her a letter this past weekend in an attempt to get documents and information as part of a congressional inquiry which has been headed up by Chairman James Comer (R-KY).

Back in early November, the legal team for Biden discovered roughly 10 documents that had been labeled as highly classified while clearing out the old office used by Biden at the center, reported by his legal team, after which the FBI carried out a search of the think tank’s offices, read a report from CBS News. Classified papers dating all the way back to when Biden was serving as the nation’s vice president or even back to when he was working as a U.S. Senator was also found at his personal residence located in Wilmington, Delaware, which forced the hand of Attorney General Merrick Garland to officially appoint former U.S. Attorney Robert Hur as a special counsel to look over whether “any person or entity violated the law in connection with this matter.”

While Chung does not seem to have had any direct involvement with the documents discovered at Biden’s personal residence, she reportedly did head up a small team near the end of the Obama administration who stashed folders into boxes inside of the White House office of the vice President that ended up making their way to a transition office, and then to another holding location situated in Chinatown which was leased out by the Penn Biden Center before they finally ended up being stored in the offices of the think tank.

Old Uncle Joe has publicly stated that he was very “surprised” that government documents were discovered hidden in his private office spaces. When asked by reporters on Monday about whether he takes any sort of blame or responsibility for the overt mishandling of these classified documents, he stated succinctly, “No.”
