President Joe Biden explained in an announcement this past week that he will now be going along with the plan of declassifying intelligence related to the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic, all happening just days in the wake of Congress putting up a shocking unanimous vote in favor of the legislation which seeks to force the issue.
Biden recently chose to autograph the “COVID-19 Origin Act of 2023” authored by Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO), and finally cemented it into law this past Monday, explaining that he too shares “Congress’s goal of releasing as much information as possible about the origin of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID–19).”
“We need to get to the bottom of COVID-19’s origins to help ensure we can better prevent future pandemics,” stated Biden. “My Administration will continue to review all classified information relating to COVID–19’s origins, including potential links to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”
Despite everything, Biden went on to state that he will most likely end up censoring or redacting large sections of the intelligence for what he claims is the sole purpose of protecting the national security of the United States.
“In implementing this legislation, my Administration will declassify and share as much of that information as possible, consistent with my constitutional authority to protect against the disclosure of information that would harm national security,” exclaimed Biden.
Hawley spoke up to issue a response via social media with a Tweet, “Today President Biden finally signed my bill to declassify what the government knows about Covid origins.”
“Let the people see for themselves!” he went on. “Huge victory for transparency. Now time for accountability.”
