It appears Disney’s latest Snow White, Rachel Zegler, has plenty to say about politics—especially when it comes to Trump and his supporters.
Fresh off her role as the iconic princess, Zegler took to social media after the election results to blast both the President-elect and anyone who cast a vote for him. Her Instagram stories were a whirlwind of outrage, with Zegler expressing “heartbreak” over Kamala Harris’s defeat and calling Trump supporters “terrifying” and undeserving of peace. It’s safe to say Zegler isn’t holding back on the snark, but neither are the critics who remember this isn’t her first time stirring controversy online.

One of her chief complaints? She’s horrified by “the number of people who stand behind” Trump. And she didn’t just leave it at that—she even urged her followers to quit using X (formerly Twitter) because, in her view, Elon Musk helped get Trump elected, and using his app is akin to “giving him business.” But the most ironic part of Zegler’s rant might be her insistence that her political opponents lack “humanity” and “patriotism,” which she paired with a closing remark that’s sure to make Disney PR cringe: “F**k Donald Trump.”
It’s quite the dramatic statement from an actress whose casting as Snow White has already been a source of fan skepticism. Zegler made headlines last year with her “feminist” critique of Disney’s original 1937 Snow White, calling the prince a “stalker” and promising that the live-action version would look nothing like the “weird” love story of the past. But when Zegler’s statements sparked backlash, she quickly pivoted, praising Snow White as “monumental” and gushing over the “amazing things that happened for that film.” Now, she’s back at it, firing on all cylinders with attacks on Trump voters and all but telling them to vanish from public life.
I just cannot figure out why everyone hates Rachel Zegler.
Disney should just cut their losses and bail on this movie now. pic.twitter.com/qRIOKl5bre

While Zegler’s political activism may resonate with some of her fans, it’s left others wondering if Disney’s choice of a Snow White with such divisive views was wise. After all, this is a role meant to embody kindness and grace—qualities that don’t exactly shine through when you’re wishing “no peace” on half the country.

And with Disney struggling to win over audiences with live-action remakes, Zegler’s outbursts aren’t helping matters. In fact, The Daily Wire and Bentkey seized the opportunity, announcing plans to create their own live-action Snow White and the Evil Queen, casting YouTube personality Brett Cooper. It’s a clear sign that there’s an appetite for entertainment that doesn’t come with a side of finger-wagging politics.
Gina Carano makes a tweet about pronouns and gets fired from Disney, meanwhile Rachel Zegler tweets “may Trump supports never know peace” and she gets to keep her job. The double standard is why I refuse to vote left.

As for Zegler, she might want to consider whether her vocal activism is helping or hurting her career. From her changing tune on Snow White to her heated comments about the election, she’s gaining a reputation for polarizing statements. Perhaps she’s learned from Disney that fairytales can change—but alienating potential fans with inflammatory posts isn’t exactly a storybook ending.
